School Council

Our School Council plays a crucial part in the life of Springfield Academy. The purpose of our School Council is to give our children a voice in developing our school. Each class from Reception to Year 6 elects two representatives to attend council meetings. The class representatives then take ideas suggested by their peers to a full School Council meeting. Our school council has recently made two films about going to school in The Education Village and growing up in Darlington both of which were presented to, and very well received by, Darlington Borough Council. This year our School Council has planned, ordered and implemented a range of playground equipment for use by all the children in our school.
